Fall/Winter Clubs 2011/2012

*** Please note that the curriculum for each club is developed by instructors during the week leading up to each session. All lessons are in the same vein as what is taught at our summer camps.
The cost for the clubs is:
- LEGO or Saturdays @VV - $80
- Girls@VV - $65

Girls Club (Grades 5-8)
The girls@VV club is designed to give girls hands on experience with science and technology. The club will be doing both computer related activities - such as building and designing websites, and animation or graphic design, as well as science activities- learning about everyday chemistry, biology and the world around them. Please note that the activities for clubs have not yet been chosen.
- The girls@VV Club meets from 1:00-4:00 on selected saturdays
Cost for the Club is $65
Lego Club Junior (Grades 1-4) and Senior (Grades 5-10)
The Lego Club at VV is designed to give all Lego enthusiasts a chance to learn about Lego robotics. At VV we have LEGO NXT, Mindstorms and Dacta Lego for club participants to use to learn about gears, design and robotics while building their own Lego robots. Please note that the activities for clubs have not yet been chosen.
- The Lego Junior Club meets from 9:30-12:00
- The Lego Senior Club meets from 1:00-4:00
Cost for the Club is $80
Saturdays @ VV - Junior (Grades 1-4) and Senior (Grades 5-10)
The Saturdays @ VV will consist of a variety of favourite programs and projects similar in nature to those done at camp. Each week will have a different project and will give the technology enthusiast the chance to learn more about cool science and technology programs and activities. Please note that the activities for clubs have not yet been chosen.
- The Saturdays @VV Junior Club meets from 9:30-12:00
- The Saturdays @VV Senior Club meets from 1:00-4:00
