Magnifier

Magnifier is a display plugin for Google Desktop that allows you to magnify the active part of your screen (zoom into or out from what's under your cursor).

You can Discuss Magnifier on Google Groups.

Features

• Zooms in or out by a factor from 1 to 8
• Configurable refresh interval (default 100 ms)
• Can follow mouse instantly (optional, CPU intensive)
• Can invert on-screen colours
• Can display the cursor position in pixels in a configurable text colour (default dark green)

Requirements

• Windows NT, 2000, or XP
• Google Desktop in Sidebar mode

Download

This plugin is distributed as a self-installing EXE file. You can uninstall the Magnifier plugin at any time through the Add/Remove Programs panel. You can display or hide the plugin in your Sidebar by using the Add/Remove Panels dialog.

The source code for Magnifier v1.1a has also been released under a BSD license. It is a Microsoft Visual Studio .NET 2003 solution.
