It doesn't directly apply to me, but I scanned over it and noticed something that I wanted to comment on. You suggest changing the score of ALL_TRUSTED to 0. This is generally a bad idea. If ALL_TRUSTED hits spam from outside your network, this means that your trust path is misconfigured and there will also be other problems behind the scenes that will make several of the network tests less effective. A much better idea is to leave ALL_TRUSTED as is and configure trusted_networks properly instead. If you don't configure trusted_networks, SA tries to guess and frequently gets it wrong. Instead of suggesting a change to the ALL_TRUSTED score, maybe you should suggest configuring trusted_networks instead. Perhaps include a link to the wiki as well: http://wiki.apache.org/spamassassin/TrustPath I know that this is more complex than just changing a score, but once you get it right, SpamAssassin will be able to parse the received headers correctly and call the proper network tests. You should get better results this way. No offense intended here -- I truly appreciate anyone who is willing to create a how-to document and make it available. I just want to help everyone get the best out of SpamAssassin. -- Bowie
