Name: Mark. Who else? E-mail: kaeria@rogers.com __________________________ Character Name: Dvini Praats The name is, as suggested, Latvian, although I mixed around some spellings to make it sound a bit nicer for character purposes. Dvini is interesting, because it means 'twin', but also is used for 'Gemini', which also happens to be her sign. (God knows, in the Sailormoon world, your particular specialties/powers/etc. control EVERY FIBRE OF YOUR BEING) The final name, Praats, means a number of things - most importantly, however, it can mean 'mind' or 'personality' - in some cases I found, it can even mean 'soul'. And I must say that Latvian is a very pretty, but annoying language. ;) Character Position: Sailor Velns, Retainer, Captain of Neherenia's Guard, Shortorder Cook, and Bumblebee Trainer. Birthdate and Age: May 31st - A Gemini, as mentioned about. She's also 22. Huzzah! PROFILE - Bloodtype: A (with a hint of negative Rh) Likes: Books, Music, Neatness, Order, Solitude, Competition, Sensible Attire Dislikes: Arrogance, Laziness, Chaos, Parties, Diplomacy It's a tad difficult to explain these here, since I'm just so used to putting them in the personality section, but I'll give a brief synopsis. Basically, Dvini is the sort of girl who enjoys constant mental activity, and also a consistency in everything she does. As we will explore later, there is a delicate balance that she maintains in her life and having this disrupted is very bothersome to her. Books and Music are things that one can enjoy alone, and on her own terms. Neatness and Order can be seen very simply in the way she leads her life. Her living quarters are immaculate, everything placed just so. Her daily routine is incredibly precise. As for Solitude, it just plays along with everything else. She doesn't like outside forces disturbing the tidy little arrangement she calls life. Competition is one of the few things she does enjoy that involves others. She enjoys improving her mind and her abilities by testing herself against others. And, Sensible Attire, well, that's just a personal clothing preference. As for dislikes, they mostly play against her preference of solitude. Certainly, as Captain of the Guard, she must deal with people on a constant basis. And, even with the very individual, autonomous nature of the rest of the guard, she occasionally has to have staff meetings, distribute tasks, and all that other jazz. In these, and other forms of interaction, she prefers a certain amount of respect, and can't stand either arrogance or laziness, since neither are in any way productive. (Since the whole Kingdom-Planet transfer, this has grown even more strong, since it's obviously no time to be dillydallying). Again, Chaos, because of her specific balance preferences, and also no doubt to it playing a role in the disaster. Parties and Diplomacy just fall into her aforementioned enjoyment of solitude. Now, I want to make it clear that she is not some brooding angst-machine here and now. She can get along just fine in social settings, though she's not the best conversation-maker. She just prefers time to herself, is all. Hobbies: Reading - And she'll read anything and everything. From fiction to history, from military tactics to a menu at the local restaurant, she'll read it cover-to-cover. Anything that keeps her mind occupied and focused appeals to her greatly, though this part of her personality will be more thoroughly discussed later. Music - Also a hobby. She performs. She also composes. It's her one creative outlet, though she rarely lets anyone hear her stuff, even Neherenia. Well, okay.. occasionally Neherenia, but only if she's a good girl. Hunting/Tracking - It's sort of a training practice of hers. Her normal routine is a sort of glorified game of hide-and-seek. She chooses one of the lesser grunts, tells them to hide somewhere (outside the palace, of course), and try to elude her. It's something she's found to exercise almost all of her mental and physical faculties, and she likes staying in tip-top shape. Chess - Another of those concentration/mind-busying/competition things she enjoys. Though she rarely has time, when she finds a partner, she loves a good match. (As a little side-note, I thought this might be a cute little thing that she and Neherenia do to pass them time, since the Princess sometimes is not very social herself). Debate - While not something she goes out of her way to do, it is still something Dvini finds herself doing constantly. This is what happens when you incredibly stubborn in your opinions. (More in the personality section.) She never, ever lets these little arguments go so far as to take them personally.. most of the time. Description: Hair - Somewhere between light brown and sandy blonde - I supposed the best way to describe it would be Goldenrod, though this is coming from my subpar knowledge of colours. Very fine, and often unpredictable, it is cut short, falling to her shoulders, curling inwards at the tips. She also has two long bangs, which she normally keeps tucked behind her ears, but they usually don't remain there, curling over her cheeks, framing her face. Occasionally, when the mood strikes, she throws in a few thin braids. Finally, one particular note of interest is a single, faint streak of silver that she often hides, though occasionally it shows through - and most of the court has learned that it is VERY UNWISE to ask her about it. Eyes - A somewhat plain shade of blue. The closest comparison would be cerulean, though they tend to have that fancy colour-changing ability depending on either clothing, or mood. They vary anywhere between royal and ice blue. In regards to their appearance, they have a slightly slanted, almond-shaped look to them. Face - She has rather sharp, angular features. Her face itself is somewhat thin, cheek bones well-pronounced. Her mouth is small and thin-lipped. Her nose is also small, and pert, and she has a somewhat pointed chin, though not overly so. All in all, she has a rather attractive face - if only she'd lose the stern expression it tends to bear. Complexion - Her complexion is fairly consistent over her body, and has the appearance of a person who is just /slightly/ tanned. Build - Tall and athletic. While not a bulging powerhouse of muscle, she is certainly in good shape. She is deceptively strong, as well. Dvini is one of those fortunate few who bear the sort of muscle structure that retains a fairly pleasant female form, yet still has the necessary power for rigourous activity. Also, the way in which she moves is particularly fluid. Not so much in the graceful sense, which tends to denote lighter movement; no, hers is more the sort of motion you might find in a highly trained martial arts expert. They seem to know precisely what they're going to do four steps ahead of what they are doing now, and behind every action, there's controlled strength. I hope that made sense. Attire - If you see Dvini in a dress, consider yourself lucky. She does have a few though, but only for those special political occasions where protocol demands it for some reason or another. Normally, expect her to be wearing a tunic, slacks, and knee-high leather boots. She sometimes also wears long coats. Personality: Okay. This is no doubt going to be the big section. I'm sure you're all wondering where all of her duality/syncretism comes into play, and I did not want to get into it before now, since there is no way to summarize this. Let's start with Dvini herself. She is a walking plethora of contradictions. She can be incredibly stubborn, yet is also quite open-minded. She is often amiable and social, though also very reserved and solitary. She tends to be very calm and composed on most matters, but can be quite hot-headed and antagonistic. You may get the impression that she often jumps from one emotion to the next at the slightest provocation, and while at one point she did, age and experience have taught her some level of control over her unpredictable nature. This is, in part, due to the 'balance' that was discussed above. To describe this, I will use.. an analogy! Take a pond. Now, imagine people throwing stones into this pond. Each causes ripples of disturbance of still water, but as those ripples meet one another, they mesh, and cancel each other out. This is, in a sense, how Dvini operates. There are always little disturbances in a person's life that can effect their emotional state - some good, some bad. Most people enjoy the good while it lasts, and dwell on the bad until some other good comes to take their mind off of it. Dvini, however, remains neutral. The good and the bad remain balanced, and while she always feels some form of change in her mood, it is relatively minor. Let's return the the pond. Some big jerk come up and throws a huge freaking 20-pound rock into the water, and it overpowers everything else, effectively leaving only its ripples in the wake. When something or someone throws off Dvini's balance like this, it's.. well.. interesting, to say the least. Her extremes are quite.. well.. extreme, from pure elation to complete and absolute pissiness; and seeing her in either of these states, or any other number of particularly strong moods, is quite a strange experience to those around her, considering her usually calm, somewhat stoic demeanor. (For example, if Dvini is chosen to be Velns, during the beginning of the story, she will no doubt be INCREDIBLY pissy. People messing with her kingdom would probably count in the 20-pound rock in the pond category.) In effect, she has a very positive, and very negative sides to her psyche, both of which can show themselves for any number of reasons, which is yet another problem. It doesn't need to be some drastic occurrence that sets her off. It could be something as small as slight mistake in protocol by another member of her Guard, or particular comment at the wrong time from a noble. As long as it just doesn't sit right with Dvini, it could trigger one of these sudden mood swings. This is the primary reason why Dvini prefers to keep to herself, and also why many of her interests involve keeping her mind occupied. She finds that (yes, again a weird contradiction), that keeping herself concentrated and busy on a certain task, to the point where most people would become frustrated and stressed, is incredibly calming. This is probably why she performs so well as Captain of the Guard. While on the job, duty is the first and foremost thought on her mind, and when trying to deal with a group of people who are already very individualistic on their own, this is no easy task - just the way she likes it. Now that we've gone into the topic of extremes, it must also be noted that these aforementioned massive emotional transitions of IMPENDING DOOM are actually quite rare. In actual practice, while she does have an tendency to pull 180s at any given time, they are much less dramatic. Let us use this as a cue into the next segment of Dvini's personality - dealing with others. Dvini offends almost everyone she meets at least once. Take the first conversation she has with a person. While at first she may be very interested in what they have to say, she may suddenly decide that the person is utterly boring and waste of her time. At other times, she may be in the middle of hot debate with another member of the Guard, refusing to consider, or even listen to what they have to say, and suddenly, she'll find herself agreeing with them wholeheartedly. These quick shifts in mood and opinion are also completely random, so you never known what to expect from her next. Fortunately, however, this aspect of the Captain is known to nearly everyone of Velis, so none of the 'regulars' are very shocked when she pulls a 180 on them. Though it can be annoying, it is usually shrugged off with a chuckle, and some comment along the sitcom-ish lines of, "Oh-ho-ho, that's our Captain!" Another point in her favour is that, due to her admirable performance and devotion to her work, she has earned the respect of many, and this tends to balance (it's the word of the day, kids!) out any small tiffs she may have with them. Finally, when dealing with any sort of conflict, Dvini is often (you guessed it!) of two minds on the subject. This, in practice, tends to be a strong asset in her favour. She is able to consider all options open to her in a very small amount of time, and act on the one she finds to be the most logical or opportune at that moment. This is one of the few situations where she tends not to change her plans half-way through their implementation, for two simple reasons: First, depending on the severity of the conflict, there may not be time, and b) As we've mentioned before, once she sets her mind on something, she exerts all of her will and focus upon that task, and thinks of nothing else until it is resolved. A few short closing notes, for the sake of completion. The balance Dvini (tries) to keep in her life extends to all things she does. Her daily routine, for example, is so precise, that those in the Velis Faction would probably joke that they could set their watches by her.. if they had watches to begin with. This also goes on to show how Dvini tends stay away from spontaneity. She prefers having a plan for everything, even if that plan might change at any given time, with the exception listed above. Most of these rules she has set for herself are for the benefit of herself AND for others. They allow her to function at her best, and also lower the risk of putting others off with her.. unique nature. Lastly, and I swear, I do mean lastly, there is one person who is an exception to ALL of points listed above, and that is Neherenia. Even Dvini herself has no idea what to expect when with the Princess. On the whole, however, Neherenia seems to be the only person that Dvini can spend time with, and not find herself switching from one emotion to the next in a matter of seconds. However, even the Princess has seen her Captain's bad side, from time to time. History: Sadly, Dvini's history is remarkably dull. Being only four years older than Neherenia, and considering the unreliability of a child's memory, the first event she clearly recalls was the much celebrated event of the Princess' birth. Let's backtrack for a moment, though. She has parents. Two, in fact. Imagine that! Her father was a guardsman in Velis - not a Legendary Hero or anything so grand, but a pretty well-known and respected officer. Not that military power was really needed during the peaceful times, but no doubt it was still proper to have a faction of elite soldiers below the Magnificent 6 in the court. Her mother, on the other hand, was a noblewoman, and on top of that, she was a musician. The sort that could play any instrument known at the time, and extremely well, at that. She often played at diplomatic functions, royal parties, etc. In fact, she was performing at the Festival of Gaismas when the badness happened. (At the time when the story starts, they are MIA, though since you are the admins and such, you are allowed to know that her father died, and her mother is alive, but MIA.) As couples tend to do, they had a daughter. Actually, they had two daughters, twins, though one died at childbirth. They named the surviving daughter Dvini, and raised her with much love and care. They began to notice, however, that their child was a bit.. odd. Even as a baby, she was prone to hours of crying fits, followed soon after by gleeful baby gurgling and happiness. They just assumed that this was standard fair - they just had a particularly fussy child, but they learned as she grew that this was not the case. Her toddler years were the worst, as they had no idea how to manage their poor, insane daughter. She was the terror of the palace, causing all sorts of mischief, having fits at the worst times, and just bringing general mayhem to all around her. At the same time, however, she was the perfect little lady. Excellent manners, quiet, calm, and fairly intelligent for her age. Her parents were at amiss to explain these vast differences in her personality, though her mother sometimes wondered if it had anything to do with her twin sister. Of COURSE it did. Since fate is a cruel bitch of a mistress, and those whom the starseeds choose for hosts tend to have all sorts of special-dealies in their lives, the following happened: The starseed, by some twist of the aforementioned bitchy fate mistress, did not expect expect twins. So, when the girls were born, it at first tried to split itself between the two, giving them both the special powers that come with such a gift. Suffice to say, this was all in vain. The Velns seeds grew unstable shortly after, and immediately tried to recombine. It was random chance that they joined together in Dvini, but this had the unfortunate side-effect of the second seed ripping out her sister's soul in its mad dash to recombine with its counterpart, effectively killing her. The Velns starseed thus became whole once more in Dvini, but along with it came the soul of her sister. Hence, we see why Dvini is rather.. unstable herself. Two souls are constantly struggling for control within her. This is why 'The Balance' had to be created. Her starseed, and all of her mental faculties, are always working hard to keep both souls happy and in peace with each other, and they succeed -- more or less. This Balance began to form shortly after her 10th birthday. It had been discovered that she had the gifts of a Legendary Hero far earlier, but due to her nature, any training or control of these gifts was impossible. Her mind had just not developed enough to be able to handle the constant surplus of contrasting thoughts and feelings. As she began to mature into adolescence though, things started to calm down, and her journey began. She joined the guards at an early age, finding the training and discipline involved just the catalyst she needed to solidify the forming Balance, thus sparking her interest in mind-occupying hobbies. She moved up the ranks quickly, her skills, and of course, her starseed gifts playing important roles. To make a long story short, it was clear that her devotion to her duty, her powerful gifts, and her sheer talent in both, made her the perfect choice for Captain of the Guard, a position she's held since her 19th birthday. While her odd behavioural tendencies were still apparent, they were tolerated, since.. well, everyone has flaws. It should also be noted that, even during peacetime, Dvini never ever let herself get out of shape. Hence the games of hide and seek mentioned above, as well as her own personal training rituals of exercise, swordplay - well, everything really. During her service in the guard, and even moreso after her appointment as Captain, much time was spent in the company of the Princess. Not that it was really needed, but again, protocol insist that that Neherenia have her guard present. Now, we need not go into all of their dealings here and now, but one thing must be made clear about our dear Dvini. To her, the Princess was not some haunting figure, nor some super-special wonderful girl to be pampered or to have attention lavished upon her - to Dvini, she was always a person, an ordinary young lady who just happened to be in a position of authority. While she still followed all necessary etiquette in her dealings with Neherenia, she always treated her in the same manner in which she treated others, something which (This is all assumption, Relia will need to approve this) the princess appreciated greatly, and formed some sort of friendship between them. Much to Dvini's liking, as she Neherenia to be one of the few people around whom she did not have to worry about her emotions getting the best of her - some soothing quality of the Princess' nature that allowed her to relax in her presence. (Note: Hinting here at the fact that Duality and Complementarity would probably BALANCE *hinthint* each other out.) And so, things were good. But then the badness came. Bad badness of the bad kind. Dvini, obviously, could do nothing to prevent it, much to her chagrin, and found herself soon after on the big planet below, alone, and very, VERY, EXTREMELY pissed off. As always though, duty comes first, and she begins her search for her Princess. ___________________________ Special Skills: Speed - Dvini is a FAST little monkey. Challenge her to anything from a sprint, to a marathon, and you will lose. Badly. There are few exceptions to this rule. Maybe if you'd been TRAINING and EXERCISING during the peacetime, you could too. But you didn't. So don't start crying about it now. Tracking - This is another skill that developed from her personal training ritual thingies. She's extremely good at reading the environment around her, using careful logic, and using gut instinct to discover hidden people or things, whether they be invisible enemies, or Neherenia's misplaced teddy bear. Insight x2 - I'm not even sure if that is the right word to describe it, but basically, the whole Duality/Syncretism sphere, coupled with the whole twin souls thing, gives her a unique perspective on life. It's like being able to consider everything from two completely different viewpoints without leaving the safety of her own brain. It's like having your own personal advisor in your head. "This would be a great choice of action." "Well, it MIGHT be, but consider this.." "That's true! Okay, then, what if changed.. this.." "Right, and then also did this.." "Dvini, you're a GENIUS!" "Oh, thank you Dvini, you know I feel the same about you." Empathy - Rarely used, since Velns usually doesn't give a dang, but with her vast wealth of emotional CRAZINESS, she does have a knack for being able to tell how others are feeling, from their body-language, words, whatever. Running A Tight Ship - You think it's easy trying to keep a group of extremely independent people, who all have their own way of doing things, organized and in line? YOU try being Captain for a day. However, Velns is able to pull it off somehow, though even she is not completely sure how. She's very lenient on her staff, but also has strict rules she insists they follow. I'll try to make this as concise as possible. Basically, the other retainers are all free to do their own thing. What they want, when they want, how they want. However, some restrictions apply. For example, they must all report to Dvini and give some sort of notice if they are heading off on a personal mission, explaining where exactly they are going, and what they are doing. Upon their return, she expects a report on the mission and its accomplishments. Only rarely will she say no to a mission, and this only occurs if it's COMPLETELY ridiculous. (Not that I can give an example, since I don't know the other retainer's personalities, but lets say.. if one wants to go Snark Hunting, that's bad.) If there are certain duties that she must assign, she makes a list, and lets her guards pick and choose which they want. There are only a few times when she pulls rank, and these are when a) a certain duty is going unfulfilled, because no one wants to choose it, or b) when there is a particular crisis that requires immediate action. Hence, why she always keeps tabs on where her Guards are - so she can get them back lickity-split if she needs to. The Never Ending Argument - Never. Argue. With. Dvini. Sure, you can debate over an issue, and she might change her mind half-way through and agree with you, as she is prone to do, but one thing both Soul A and Soul B BOTH agree on is arguments that are taking place for the SOLE purpose of just plain arguing are just.. annoying. Her Stubborn side takes over completely, and she will not stop until you give up, you fall asleep, or you die. Fencing - She fences, and enjoys it muchly, but only in practice/training. To her it's a sport, not a battle tactic. She's pretty good too, but again, not an expert. Care for a match? Powers: Velns Mirror Image Stock Footage: Neherenia really, really hates this one. The area around Velns recedes into darkness, with some off-camera light source acting as a faint spotlight. Velns closes her eyes, arms outstretched and held close together. Slowly, she separates them, a thin line of light drawn in their wake, which then grows vertically at either end into what appears to be a pane of glass, with Velns still visible on the other side. Her task completed, Velns crosses her arms over her chest, her hands placed just below her shoulders, forming an X. This is where it gets weird. The REAL Velns appears from behind the pane of glass, extending a hand to the image still visible there, upon which time the image takes the offered hand, and steps out from what was actually a magic mirror. The mirror fades, and both strike a battle pose (which varies), each in opposite directions. Smackdown: You guessed it. You bad Kartiba types now have TWO Velns to deal with. Both are independent of one another, and both possess the same powers and skills. However, the downside to this is two-fold. It's a one-time use power, and the mirror image fades after a certain amount of time, depending on how quickly RealVelns uses up her own power reserves. In the meantime though, it basically adds an extra member to Our Side. Bonus!! Velns Dual Shock Stock Footage: Simple, yet effective. She raises both hands high in the air above her, closing her eyes. Her body radiates a bluish-green aura as she draws on her inner powers, waves of energy flowing over her form, collecting at her hands. They grow into two glowing balls of light, about the size of softballs (one is blue, the other.. you guessed it, a happy shade of green!), which she then hurls downward at the ground with all her strength, letting out a standard senshi power exertion cry. The two energy balls strike the ground, burying themselves half-way in, criss-crossing back and forth between one another in a snake-like pattern as they approach the target. Just a few feet before said target, the leap back into the air, combining into a MUCH BIGGER ball, which strikes the enemy, surrounding them in whoop-ass power of the same bluish-green colour. Smackdown: Velns main attack. It's your basic smash 'n bang schtick, and its effects are based mostly on the amount of power the enemy target has in them. Say for example, she uses this right at the beginning of a battle. The enemy will stumble, maybe have a few cuts and bruises, but will still be in good shape. However, if the badguy has already been smashed up a bit, this attack can put them out of commission for a while, hence the 'shock' name. Velns Energy Transpose (Only Available with Mirror Image Velns) Stock Footage: Each Velns, Real and Mirror, chooses a target, one on her side, one on the enemy side. Real Velns slides eerily behind her compadre, placing her hands on the others shoulders, the same bluish-green aura surrounding her, and soon after, her ally. The same waves of energy appear, but they slowly move from Velns to the other, as she transfer whatever remaining power she has to them. At the same time, Mirror Velns latches herself onto the enemy target (since, no doubt, they will be much less keen on the idea), the aura appears, but the energy waves flow in reverse, draining the power of the enemy. Afterward, both Velns and Mirror Velns collapse, the first falling unconscious, the second fading away into nothingness. Smackdown: This is a final desperation power that is only used in the most dire of circumstances. Basically, as you can probably guess, the ally gets a power-up, and the badguy gets sucked dry. In practice, the effect will double whatever power the ally has in them at that moment, while the enemy will lose half of their remaining power. It's also particularly hard to pull off, considering the fact that if Mirror Velns can't get a good hold on the enemy, and they shake her off, her aura looks for the next closest thing to draw energy from, namely herself. And since both her aura, and Real Velns' aura are working in synch, if one goes, the other does as well, and Real Velns is still knocked out. Fuku: Just a note before we start this, I am using the 'generic fuku design' for now, because I can't think of any niftiness for a duality-style fuku without stealing Two-Face's wardrobe from Batman. Starting from the top, she wears a gold band around her head, and where it meets at the center of her brow, a jewel rest, shaped in a yin-yang configuration, left side a deep blue, the right a forest green, her colours. Her choker is a thin black band, with a faint gold rim along the top and bottom. Much like Neherenia, her bodice is that shiny not-black of Velis, with translucent green shoulder-floofs. The bow on her chest is the same deep blue mentioned before, also with the yin-yang jewel, though here it is reversed, with blue on the right, and green on the left. Her belt consists of two intertwining bands of blue and green, of the same translucent fabric of her shoulder-floofs. These bands also tie at her lower back to form the standard bow there, and once again, thanks to the magic of Sailormoon, the left side is blue, the right is green, but due to the nature of the fabric, both seem to grow out from a bluish-green aqua colour from the center. Two streamers fall from the bow, once again in the opposing colour of their respective side, falling to her knees. Her skirt, also, is that same aqua colour, the merging of her two primary colours (I guess making the aqua the secondary colour). Fortunately though, this time, the fabric is not translucent. As is apparently standard with all Velis senshi, she has the same impossible-to-describe gold bracers with black stripes, though hers are just simple, without the same poofy fabric at either end like Neherenia. Finally, her footwear consists of black leather lace-up pumps. Ain't that fun? Henshin: Dvini calls out, "Velns Cardinal Power, make up!" AND THE MAYHEM ENSUES. Really, though, it's more prettiness than mayhem. The background niftiness consists of blackness at first, followed by a line of golden light that slices the darkness in half. Thin streams of blue and green light (of course, on opposite side of the splitscreen), fall from above like a massive meteor shower, and continue on as Velns transforms, until every bit of blackness has been replaced with colour by the time the henshin is done. Got everything so far? Don't worry, I don't either. Velns herself fades into the familiar henshin form of a myriad of colours, save for her eyes and her body's outline. At this point, her arms are outstretched, and her body leans backwards in super-slow-motion, since, as usual, physics are taking a break. Her trademark yin-yang, in the usual shades, seems to grow out from within her, taking up the foreground, covering her completely. After a moment, it spins rapidly, until it begins to unravel into the fabric that forms her belt and back-bow. Funky camera angles ensue as Velns starts to twirl, the fabric wrapping around her waist as she does, the beginnings of her fuku taking shape. The first camera sweep ends on her back-bow, slowly to a halt, then reversing directions. As it goes around her for another pass, her body begins to curl back into a more plausible position, and two of those coloured meteorite streams begin flashing over her body. CLOSE-UP of her neck, as they cross across it quickly, forming her choker. CLOSE-UP of her chest as they crisscross over her form, seemingly drawing her bodice and chest-bow on. CLOSE-UP of her waist, criss-cross, bright flash, and her skirt appears. CLOSE-UP and PAN DOWN of her legs as the streams twirl around them, drawing on her boots when the camera is low enough. The camera then follows the streams as they fly to her arms, drawing her bracers as she lifts her arms high above her head. They again twirl, this time along her arms, finally reaching her brow in a CLOSE-UP, forming a pretty halo of light which then flashes, forming her headband. Add a cool lensflare effect as it does a quick half-circle around the yin-yang jewel at the center of her forehead (we're still in CLOSE-UP here, people), then PAN OUT, Velns lowering her arms as this occurs, crossing them in front of her, forming an X. Cue background yin-yang. Finishing pose done. CUT! Aaaand Star-Wipe, print, aaaaand we're clear. (Okay, there was no star-wipe, but you get the idea. I hope. I can see it in MY head, okay? ;_;) Weapon: Don't worry, it's not what you think, but I thought it best to include this anyway. She owns a usable rapier. As mentioned above, she fences, and this is what she uses to do so. It will NOT be used in an actual senshi-battle. (I did have an idea, however, for FAR FAR later, when she and some Kartiba punk decide to have a 'friendly' match) _________________________ Knowledge: Hate Neherenia? How can you? She's so cute and fun and silly. You should see her drunk. It's hilarious! In all seriousness though, no, I don't hate Neherenia. She's the bomb. She's also my boss. As for the 'canon', I'm not sure how many times I looked through the theme/character/policy sections while writing this app, making sure everything fit right, and also looking for more insight and ideas for Velns' creation. It was a lot, though. So yes, I'd say I'm pretty up on what's going down. Freakin' Kartiba bastards. Also, Neherenia's and Dievs' profiles were very helpful for inspiration, so I read through them as well! Dievs is pretty cute, yes. I am very afraid of what will happen when he meets Velns. Pretty-boy's particular charms should have an interesting effect on our dear bipolar Captain. RP Experience: Plenty of MUCK/MUX/MUSH/MURGLE experience, and as you probably already know with your all-seeing eyes, I play Ishtar in Genesis, and Alice in Wonderland (sorta). I know how these crazy games work, ph33r not. Why you?: Why me? Because I'm just so gosh-darned cute 'n stuff! Seriously though, because the process of creating Velns has made me very anxious to play her, I want to get going write away. AND, while most people use this as an EXCUSE not to write their parts, now that school has started again, I have plenty of time between classes and afterward to get my story chunks written quickly. Like, in less than a week quickly. Really, though.. you should choose me because if you don't, who will train the bumblebees? Dievs: LOL a b1rd 1n teh h4nd i$ w0rht 2 1n teh bush HAHE Neherenia: STFU u sux ___________________ Writing Sample: None. My brain is currently fried like a McDonald's Hamburger, and I figured, since I know the judges, they've probably seen enough of my writing that I can get lazy here.
